Folding Pocket earns a hat-trick of nominations from the British Podcast Awards

They say that good things come in threes, and the old adage finally came true this week as a trio of Folding Pocket shows were shortlisted for the PodPod British Podcast Awards. The Rabbit Hole Detectives has been nominated in the ‘New Podcast’ category, Three Little Words in ‘Entertainment’ and Kammy and Ben’s Proper Football Podcast in ‘Sport’.

As well as showcasing the range of genres and formats we have added to our portfolio since launching in 2021, the three podcasts recognised are great examples of Folding Pocket’s editorial excellence and, in the case of Three Little Words and Proper Football, the strong partnerships we have developed with major platforms and commissioners.

Launched in 2023, The Rabbit Hole Detectives has been a smash-hit – a podcast beloved by listeners and critics alike, receiving extensive coverage in national press including a column in The Telegraph. Featuring Dr Cat Jarman, Richard Coles, and Charles Spencer, the ‘detectives’ take deep dives into the past to discover fascinating and frivolous facts.

An Amazon exclusive, Three Little Words invites guests to pick a trio of words that mean something to them and one that they’d happily never hear again. Hosted by the brilliant John Bishop and Tony Pitts, the show combines a clever format, an incredible roster of guests and diverse subject matter to create a series of unique and uniquely engaging conversations.

One of several highly successful Folding Pocket collaborations with the BBC, Kammy and Ben’s Proper Football Podcast combines the humour and light touch of presenters Chris Kamara and Ben Shephard with hard-hitting conversations about the modern game to take listeners inside the dressing room and into footballer’s lives like no other podcast.

The winners of the 2023 British Podcast Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on Thursday 28 September.
